Child Custody

When parents cannot come to an agreement on child custody issues, the court decides for them. Florida courts make the best interests of the children their priority in deciding custody cases and generally view that it is in the child’s best interests to have frequent and continuing contact with both parents who share in responsibilities and the child’s upbringing. Fathers are given the same consideration as mothers in determining primary residence for a child.  Each case is weighed on an individual basis.
